Why Choose Us

CCDC, with strong research capability and considerable field experiences, has almost 60 year’s experiences in carbonate rock studies and natural gas exploration and development in Sichuan Basin (the first oil-gas basin of carbonate rocks in China). The areas of expertise include comprehensive studies on oil-gas exploration and development, well logging, seismic data processing and interpretation, economic evaluation for oil-gas fields, development program design, core analysis and test, reservoir preservation, mud logging services, chemical technologies and production-increasing operations, well testing studies. CCDC has a distinctive feature in natural gas exploration and development of carbonate rocks in an environment of high pressure, high temperature and high H2S content. This makes CCDC rather suitable for the exploration and development in Bagtiyarlyk Contract Area.

As member of “International Association of Drilling Contractors”, “International Association of Geophysical Survey Contractors”, “Chinese Chamber for Overseas Contracting” and “Chinese International Engineering Consultation Association”, CCDC provided successive services to and established long-term friendly cooperative relationship with many oil Companies and service Companies in more than 10 countries, including Indonesia, Russian, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Ecuador, New Zealand, Thailand, Burma, North Korea, Venezuela, Sudan. Totally 400 staff from CCDC are working on the overseas projects, with supplement of more than 1000 local employees. Now, Its major international market focuses in Turkmenistan, Pakistan and Ecuador. At present, 58 crews from CCDC are conducting overseas projects, of which are 34 drilling crews, 14 logging crews, 11 mud logging crews, 1 seismic crew, 3 construction crews and 5 down hole service crews. Through over 50 years efforts, CCDC has formed a complete set of techniques of drilling deep/special wells in high-temperature, high-pressure and high-sulfur formation that are adapted Carbonate reservoirs in Sichuan Basin and in low-pressure, low-production and low-permeation formation in Changqing block. CCDC is very proud of being one of China’s largest on land professional drilling forces that has advanced technology, rich experience, excellent associated services and strong strength. It is member of International Association of Drilling Contractors. It is mainly engaged in engineering design, drilling, work over, well completion and test of on land oil/gas medium to deep well, deep well, ultra-deep well, geothermal well, geothermal well, water source well and different kinds of special wells. It may also provide services as coring, well logging, cementing, completion testing, oil field chemicals and emergency response. It is equipped with US/Romania/China made electric and mechanical rigs that are capable of 1000~9000 meter total depth and include different models of TI-350T, ZJ90D, E2100, ZJ70D, ZJ70LC, ZJ60D, ZJ50D, ZJ40D, E1700, F-320, F250ZJ32 and XJ135K; 34 different work over and testing rigs, top drive installations of Model TDS-11S, TDS-9S and DQ-60P, HOMCO sticking point instrument, cable/radio MWD and integrated logging unit.

A Decade of Technical Excellence

Major Discoveries in Turkmenistan

The 10 years’ technical support for CCDC (Turkmenistan) has also accomplished great achievements. Dozens of research projects have been accomplished; more knowledge has been gained about the gas reservoir, and a few medium to large gas fields have been discovered, such as Agayry and Ojarly.
